    AVI to MPEG2



    Does anyone know of a good AVI to MPEG2 converter for linux? I have some AVI files I want to burn to a DVD-R to watch on my home player.

    AVIDEMux is supposed to do this. Also, Philips has a nice DVD player that will decode various AVI files including divx. I have had trouble with XVID.
