    Problem with media files

I recently made the switch from Windozzze and found that the quality of the sound is VERY VERY bad in FC3. I have tried XMMS, Rhythmbox and Noatn and still the quality does not improve.

Is there some problem with my soundcard (used to work fine under M$), or the media player? Where can I get latest drivers for my soundcard?

IS there any other media player that might give me better sounding music? I've seen some cool plugins (Like DFX 7.2) for Winamp, are any available for XMMS or Rhythmbox?

    Thanx in advance.

I guess you can try amaroK, but the sound quality is as good as it is in windblows. And how the hell can we tell you where to get drivers for your sound card, if you don't tell us what is your sound card?
Maybe you can try swithching sound servers (from ALSA to OSS or vice versa)
