i downloaded and untarred the skins for Sunset and Antares in my Home/xine/skins directory. they are there, but xine is still not recognizing them. after unpacking the tarball, what do i need to do?

I hope you said ~/.xine/skins/ .
(Notice the dot in front of 'xine' )
It has to be .xine, NOT xine .
This is actually a hidden folder in your $HOME .
