cedega source code, help!
hi, i'm new to linux so this is more of a how to problem.
I have been trying to get winex or cedega, but i'd rather go free if possible.
I see you can get source codes for free, but being a noob i dont quite understand how to do it all.
Can anyone help?

The cedega source is available for free, with a few conditions:
1. The free code does not contain certain features (like the ability to run copy-protected CDROMs) because these are licensed and therefore not redistributable.
2. You have to compile it yourself.
A site that offers some more information on this is Transgaming.org.
I have subscribed to Cedega in the past and I recommend anyone who's really serious about playing MS Windows games play them *in* MS Windows. They will always perform better on the platform for which they were designed. Good luck.Registered Linux user #270181
