Hi retired1af,
Everytime I open Xine, I get the same message in the title bar but Xine still works fine. Did you get this message after trying to open a file?
Hope that helps,

I wish. Got it immediately upon firing up xine. I was able to finally play a DVD after some tinkering, but it wouldn't play properly. Maxed out my CPU and started dropping frames.
On a more positive note, I was able to fire up gxine and it worked pretty well.Registered Linux user #384279

Any particular reason you are using xine? Why not try MPlayer or vlc?

For some reason, mplayer has never worked properly on this machine even after a fresh install of the distro.
VLC? Never tried it.Registered Linux user #384279
