MPlayer installation errors
I am running KDE 3.3 on Debian with the 2.6.8 kernel and I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am trying to install MPlayer but when i run ./configure i get the error message:
Error: The GUI requires GTK devel packages (which were not found).
I made sure that i had all GTK packages installed, and i still get the error. ./configure allows you to specify a directory for the GTK config file, but i can't find that file anywhere on my system. Anyone have any ideas ?

try:
or something similar. or if you don't mind using a precompiled binary:Code:apt-get install gtk-devel
Code:apt-get install mplayer
