sound problems....

I recently installed Slackware 10.1 and my sound worked great from the very start but.... I am unable to adjust the master and pcm volumes. I also can not seem to get my 5.1 surroundsound working. My soundcard is a SIS7012 built into my mobo. alsamixer reports it as a CMI9739 which I do believe is correct. Here is the output from amixer:
