OpenGL freezes the computer
I seem to have a problem here... If I run opengl-games they work fine to begin with, but after a while they'll make the computer freeze... Then not even ctrl+alt+backspace will get me out, I will have to reboot the computer by pressing the power-button. Is this just a bug in the applications? I have noticed this in tuxkart, bzflag and some games like that, but I have not seen this happen in celestia or cube before...
Do somebody know whats wrong, is there a memory-leak or whats happening? This happens in both gentoo and ubuntu for the mentioned games, plus some more which I cant remember.
Just tell me if you need my xorg.conf...

Does anyone know what at all causes the computer to hang in a way that the screen freezes and you can't get out?

Drivers
1. What type of video card are you using?
2. Are your drivers up-to-date?
3. Check permissions on your game folder.
4. Gentoo requires that you be in the Games group.
Just a some things to check.
