Actually you can punkbuster updates manually from http://punkbuster.com if that's your problem. Ive found that quake3 works flawlessly online with and without punkbuster....

    I've tried that for most the games. It for sure doesn't work whatsoever on SOF2.

    Yes, install wine after installing linux. It's a windows emulator.
