Surround Sound audio
My motherboard has onboard suround sound audio (5.1), but it doesn't seem to work under linux. It's an ASUS A7v8x-x and the audio codec is ADI 1980 6-Channel.
Output (as close as I can get it) is 2.1 with the center speaker working only because of the "Matrix" button that merges the two speakers together. I've been dealing with this for a year and a half now and frankly I'm getting sick of having 5 speakers and technically having only 2 working as they should.
Is there a driver that supports onboard surround sound in linux? I'd really like to find it and use it...

AMD 2700+

Mandrake 10.1

The Speakers are Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound
