    video to audio converter?

Anybody know of a video to audio converter for Linux? (i.e. mpg --> mp3) Is there a plugin for mplayer?

You can just dump the audio stream with MPlayer, no plugin needed. It will be a copy of the original audio track, i.e. without any format conversion (e.g. if the audio track is WMA, the dumped audio file will be WMA). Or you can save it to uncompressed WAV file and convert that to any format you want.

Or - there's Avidemux, which is a GUI video editor that allows you you to save the audio track from the video file directly to any audio format it supports (e.g. convert it to MP3). And of course it can also dump the audio just like MPlayer.

There is a great one, but sadly enough it's for Wine only.
It's free and great, if you are using Wine I suggest that you try it.
