    Damn Small Audio Player

    I'm looking for a small audio player that will decode mp3s in real time on a 250mhz computer with 96mb of ram running mandrake linux 10.1.

    mpg321, MPD with various frontends (including a couple for console), and mp3blaster come to mind

    Maybe the problem is more that you're running such a heavy distribution on such old hardware, rather than the MP3 decoder or player being deficient.

    XMMS is pretty small, and I guess you can call it damn small cos it is in damn small linux.
