Hey everyone,
Okay, I have recently installed Arch Linux and am having some audio problems. I have successfully configured my card through alsaconf and it works perfectly. Unfortunately, when I go to add the volume control applet to the panel, it saysAny idea how to solve this?No volume control elements and/or devices found

Build the drivers
Dear
Please check the model of sound card you are using; if the sound card is onboard then download the linux sound driver for that model and then build the drivers on the box.
That should work fine !!!

Sound works fine. It's the applet that is causing problems.

Solved: It seems that since I have run esd the volume applet seems to be working.

i thought the words and ratings were determined by the number of legitimate posts to the site.
