What is your general impression on the performance in games and other multimedia applications when you look at Windows compared to Linux?
Try think of stuff that runs on both OS'es, like Doom, Quake2 and what else it could be.

Comparisons between Linux and Windows generally lead to flamewars rather than thoughtful discussion. As such, I am locking this thread. I'm sure the original poster had the most innocent of intentions, but I just don't see this going anywhere.
