New install of Slackware 10.
xmms briefly shows the artist and track details then flicks to just displaying the first letter from each field. So Streophonics - Just enough education ...

Odd xmms problem
New install of Slackware 10.
xmms briefly shows the artist and track details then flicks to just displaying the first letter from each field. So Streophonics - Just enough education etc shows as S - J
Have removed and resintalled but no change.

I'm curious about this, as I use XMMS a lot, but I've never seen that error. Could it be something to do with running it in WindowMaker?
Might be worth trying it in a different desktop environment.I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso

It was doing it in WM, XFCE, Fluxbox.
Found some mp3/oggs that didn't do that though. All tracks have been on a seperate partition and have been there for a long time. Never seen it in all the other distros/installations I've tried.
Problem over though as I've just installed VectorLinux. Got peed off with a Slack error about UTF-8
