    Is there a program available for Linux that allows you to cut movie clips and rip audio from a video file? I really don't like holding my microphone up to the speakers...=(

    there are a few really good ones, not Final Cut Pro, but very similar that work really well with minidv cameras, or other...I think one is kinerama...not completely sure though...bad thing is I use it and don't know its name
