I voted for ET mainly because it's the only online shooter listed I've had any real experience with.

I guess I should put my two cents in there. I voted ET because it is free (as a university student, that is extremely appealing) and it looks really good.

well, i voted 1942. but that was before taking a look at wolfenstien, looks good... downloading it now...
- 11-30-2005 #6Might have to have a sever per continent. As an example, I doubt anyone from the America's would get a decent ping on a European server and vice versa.

my favorite game still is the UT series. it's the first, first person shooter i'd really tried (back with the original Unreal Tournament) and the one that I always come back to play more of.
Battlefield looks really good too...my brother tried a demo and I was really impressed

UT, mods and maps galore. And you can get the original for next to nothing used. Wolf ET may be free, but it still isn't that great.
Nothing is worse than ten penguins fighting over which is better, vi or emacs.

ut. i just think its the best game ever created. i cant wait until the next version comes out. i dont know how good wolfenstein is. ive never played it. and whats all this about it being "free"?
