Need help getting pic's on to my Laptop???
Hello fellow *nixer's,
I have an old Sony 2.1 Megapixel CD Mavica Digital Camera, which uses both the well known Sony Memory Stick, and the mini-CD as recording formats. I'm relatively new to the world of digital photography under linux (extracting and editing), I have a couple of questions regarding this subject. First of all, with so many different apps dealing with image editing and the like what would be a good app or apps that people of the gentoo community would recommend for editing and viewing,(for example the equivelant of Photoshop or something like it
)???

If you are looking to go above the normal resize/rotate you should try the gimp.

The GIMP, AFAIK, is the best image editor out there for Linux.
