heya, well im running mandrake 9.2 rc2

    my card is a : VIA 82C686A/B rev 50.

This card has worked on mandrake 9.0 & Redhat 9 and also windows xp.

I also have an onboard card which is disabled.

The speakers make a sound like a tv on the snow screen.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

What kernel version are you using? Where are you getting this snowy output from? What drivers are you using?
