good linux distro for a multimedia pc
i want to make a pc to watch and record tv and play music and movies. Basically i want to be able to use this in my home theater system. I want to use linux to keep costs down. What is a good distro to do these things.

http://distrowatch.com i'd say just find the distro that best fits your hardware configuration then you can add all the software you need afterwards.
