XGL Opinions
Hey All,
I've known about the new desktop rendering systems (XGL and Aiglx) for a while now and I was just wondering what other people think about it.
I personally tried out the kororaa live cd and while the graphics were awesome, i feel that the eye-candy is almost over the top and could become quite tiring after a few weeks.
Especially the window wobling and serious misuse of alpha effects.
So what do you think?

I love it, the effects + the fact that windows don't repaint when moved -> less lagging + less CPU usage when moving/resizing windows. If you don't like one of the effects, you can simply turn it off.

From looking at the Kororaa live CD, I think some effects are useless but fun to see (desktop switching), some are useless and a bit annoying (wobbly windows), and some I will use quite a bit (on-the-fly transparency).
Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!
