    Slack 9.1 / Fluxbox.

    Run xscreensaver but always comes up with

    The xscreensave daemon doesn't seem to be running on display ":0.0". Launch it now?

    Any idea how to get this to work from login?

    if u add the line "xscreensaver" to a startup script does it work?

    I happen to have the same problem in Gentoo 2004.3, although I am logged in as root. I tried to create a new account but it won't let me log in. Help me please.
