avi converter with gui - suse 10.1
hi guys, looking for some help concerning video file conversion to enable play back on the telly. ive found alot of info concerning comand line tools but would prefer something with a gui as im reletevly new to linux and dont fully know what im doing with command line! im using 32 bit suse 10.1 with kde. previously used roxio easy creater under windoze and would idealy like some thing similar.

I think Konvertor is a Qt-based GUI frontend to mencoder, which should probably suit your needs.
Flies of a particular kind, i.e. time-flies, are fond of an arrow.

thanks for the help. is mencoder part of mplayer? I only ask as they appear to be mentioned as being the same peice of software when i did a search for it. Where can i get a linux version of konverter, the only donwloads ive found have been .exe for windoze.

Yes, mencoder and mplayer are packaged together.

Hello there.. try Devede and Avidemux. these work the best for me....
