Jack server works sometimes, but not in Ubuntu
I'm attempting to use Jack with Ubuntu Dapper (6.06).
It seemed to be working perfectly when I played around with the live CD versions of "StudioToGo" and "Dynebolic" distros. Those recognized my laptops internal hardware fine, and even my USB-MIDI adapter, etc.
But in Ubuntu, I've got Jack to start fine, but when I try to run anything that uses it, it's message window fills up with
I'm using a Compaq Evo N115 with a SoundMAX Digital Audio soundcard. I know that this is not ideal equipment for this, but as I said, it seemed to work fine with those othe two distros, and I tried to copy the settings in Jack's "Setup" window exactly to the Ubuntu version.
