Hey all, anyone recommend a great media program to watch and/or view wav. files. Everytime someone emails me a wav. file I unable to view with my linux box....

    Hey all,

    anyone recommend a great media program to watch and/or view wav. files.

    Everytime someone emails me a wav. file I unable to view with my linux box.

    Do you mean .wmv? .wav are raw audio data...

    Mplayer with the right codecs should do the trick, by the way.

    WMV stands for Windows Media Video -- developed and controlled by Microsoft.

    I'm well aware of that, which is why I asked if they meant .wmv, because they said "watch/view .wav". I'm also aware that although it's a format controlled by Microsoft, there are still codecs available for Linux.
