Hi all,

I'm running Debian Sarge and am having problems with jackd. Specifically -

Code:
chris@debian:~$ jackd -d alsa
jackd 0.99.54
Copyright 2001-2005 Paul Davis and others.
jackd comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY

JACK compiled with System V SHM support.

Note: audio device hw:0 doesn't support a 32bit sample format so JACK will try a 24bit format instead

Erm, not an expert on these things (relative newbie), but I guess it's got something to do with my general hardware setup - I have an Ensoniq Audio PCI card, and a Cirrus Logic CS42974 rev 3 chip (if that's relevant?). Or perhaps patches for the kernel? Thanking you in advance for any help.

Chris
