Creative 5.1 sound card&speakers fedoa5 Alsa setup help needed

I am running fedora5 with a creative sound blaster 5.1 card and the 5.1 speakers.
I am trying to set Alsa. When I run this command here is the errors I receive:
    #/etc/rc.local
    Setting 5.1 Channel volumes...
amixer: Unable to find simple control 'Surround Jack Mode',0

amixer: Unable to find simple control 'Mic select',0

amixer: Unable to find simple control 'Channel mode',0

amixer: Unable to find simple control 'Center/LFE Down mix',0

amixer: Unable to find simple control 'Duplicate Front',0

I have sound on the 5 speakers, but LFE doesnt make any sound when running this:
    #speaker-test -c 6 -D surround51

    speaker-test 1.0.11rc2

    Playback device is surround51
    Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 6 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
Rate set to 48000Hz (requested 48000Hz)
Buffer size range from 64 to 16384
Period size range from 16 to 16384
    Periods = 4
    Buffer time size 2525
    To choose buffer_size = 16384
    To choose period_size = 4096
    was set period_size = 4096
    was set buffer_size = 16384
    0 - Front Left
    4 - Center
    1 - Front Right
    3 - Rear Right
    2 - Rear Left
    5 - LFE

Also I think the right side channel isnt working correctly yet, like when I use XMMS or online radio stations.
Any help or ideas would be great thanks

    same problem here.
    +
i managed to turn on 5.1 surround in xmms, but the song doesn't play constantly. it plays well for about 30 secs, then it jumps to the middle of the song...then another 30secs... something like this. i don't know how to explain.

does anyone know how to fix this? i think it's a problem with the buffer or something.
