Unreal Tournament Lag
Hey there,
Running FC5 on the following specs:
Pentium 4 2.4ghz
512mb ram
ATI Radeon 9200SE 128mb
I used unreal.tournament_436-multilanguage.run to install it. Apparently every UT installer has a problem of not decompressing the maps. So starting it gave me Sigiot: Iot trap.
I googled the problem, and found a solution, a script that decompresses the maps.
So the game starts, but the mouse moves in bursts, and the game seems to lag a bit.
I used this to install the drivers: http://www.fedorafaq.org/#radeon
Any idea what could be causing this?

Hi,
Since I have the GOTY (Game of the Year) edition of Unreal Tournament, I installed it using ut-install-436-goty.run (one of the only installers that correctly decompresses the maps).
My system:
- Intel Core Duo 1.73GHz
- 1 GB RAM
- ATI X1400 256MB (HyperMemory)
- Running Ubuntu
Now, about your problem... I was having the same one until I upgraded the video card driver. It appears that the ATI 8.25.8 drivers had a problem with this. As soon as I upgraded to the latest drivers (8.29.6), all the problems went away
. I'm not sure how you install the drivers in Fedora Core, but I used the tutorial at http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubu...allation_Guide for my Ubuntu installation.
