linux app to burn atrac3 cds?
the title says it all...almost... i've looked for a very long time and i can't seem find anything related to a linux app to burn those "atrac3" or "atrac3plus" cds. just curious if anyone has ever heard of such a thing. i can't get sony's provided software to work under wine either (and apparently i'm not the only one).
suggestions?
thx

k3b is a popular CD-writing software package that should be available on all Linux distros. It has a gui interface that should be easy enough to use.
Personally I prefer cdrecord. It's a command-line utility that lets you use a syntax something like this to write file.iso to a CD:
$ cdrecord dev=/dev/hdc driveropts=burnfree file.iso
I'm not familiar with the atrac3 cds, but I assume they are ISO files, that is, large files in ISO format that generally have the .iso extension.

atrac3 and atrac3plus is a propietary audio codec and developing apps beside sony's ones may be forbidden. I also think that atrac3plus and atrac3 is patented so you or anybody cannot develop an app like that.

haven't tried cdrecord though i do usually prefer the command line programs so i'll have to give it a shot
eh yea you're probably right, but i bet someone will make one eventually if they haven't already. it SHOULD be sony... but noone cares about us free-stuff-lovin linux users!atrac3 and atrac3plus is a propietary audio codec and developing apps beside sony's ones may be forbidden. i guess this means I have to move my cd burner over to my 800mhz POS that windows lives on... i gave up trying to get sony's software to work with wine
