    Video converters

    Does any one know if there are any good video converters for linux out there?

    I use mencoder which is part of the mplayer package. Works great.

    just look at

    man mencoder or google for how to use.

    I recommend Avidemux. It's a video editor, but works great for just transcoding as well.
