    svc.conf help

    I'm trying to simulate a demo version of doom on simplescalar, but I keep getting the following errors when I try to run doom.

    warning: partiall supported sigaction(0 call...
    getsvc: stat of /etc/svc.conf failed
    getsvc: stat failed: No such file or directory
    Error: Could not open display (DISPLAY=[:0.0])
    warning: partially supported signprocmask() call....

    I think it might be a problem with my display, because when i run xterm, I get the unable to open display "" error as well
    Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    are you running as root?

    run as a normal user if possible.
