    MP3 files don't play on Rhythmbox Music Player



    Ok. I've searched through google in hopes of finding an mp3 audio codec for rhythmbox music player on ubuntu 6.10, I just can't seem to find any. Is there a plugin to make mp3 files play on this media player.

    I remember seeing a package of codecs for non-free formats (like MP3s) in the Ubuntu package manager on a friend's installation - you might have to enable all the available repositories to see them.
