same problem but how do you upgrade?

I'm new to linux, I'm using ubuntu edgy and I'm runnig quake with wine, I have the same problem with the mouse and I want to know how to upgrade, I googled for upgrade version 1.32b and I found a .run file to download, is that an upgrade only for linux versions of quake or I can use it to upgrade my windows version running with wine? I can't find a 1.32b version for windows....

First of all, there is no reason to run Quake 3 in Linux under WINE. If you have a MS Windows CDROM you can install the Linux native client and copy over the PK3 files to make it run. That way you don't have to worry about upgrading your MS Windows version in WINE.
