graphics equalizer needed
I have a set of 2.1 speakers, but the bass is very loud on them. With XMMS, it isn't too much of a problem as it has an equalizer - I can turn the bass right down; but it's still a problem with other applications that make a noise - realplayer, kaboodle etc.
I use KDE, so I assume these are all going through artsd. Any idea where I can find a graphics equalizer that would operate at a lower level, allowing me to control the bass for all sound?

I have just started looking for an ALSA Equalizer myself.
I haven't exactly found one, but if you check your Software Installation/Package Handler by searching on 'audio', I have found several packages, a couple which are noted to be full service audio editing software.
If I find anything of interest when I install these, I'll post further.
