trying to install

im trying to install this mmorpg eternal lands and on their website is says:

To play on Linux:
Download the zip file, and unzip it.
cd to the directory where you installed it.
chmod to 775 and execute el-133.x86.linux.static
edit el.ini and change datadir to where you unzip everything
Also, the zip file has no base directory, so you should unzip it in a new directory you create.
To play under FreeBSD, download the Linux version, download the code from the CVS, and use the freebsd make file.


i have done all that but i can not execute el-133.x86.linux.static
permission denied

and im also trying to install another game and it says i have to create a regnum dir wich i dont know what it is...

you must have root privileges to execute that file. which distro do you have?

did you try to create 'regnum' directory? mkdir regnum.
