    Video 8 Capture

On Windows I capture video 8 tapes by using a TV tuner card as a capture card.

With Ubuntu 7.04 the TV card is recognized. Where I am lost is knowing which application to use for the media capture.

    Any suggestions?

I understand from looking round the Internet that Kino will do the job just fine as long as you can get the hardware working.

My capture card is recognized in the Device Manager but Kino gives a message along the lines of dv1394 kernel module not loaded or failure to read write.

How do I get Kino to work with the card?
