Last time I was on abc's website to watch something, they had an option to use the old player. I guess they've gotten rid of that now. It had worked for me.

Something quite funny just happened. I went to abc.com from my windows desktop, and went as far as the screen that tells you how to install the viewer. From here I clicked on a "Feedback" link, and wrote them a short note complaining that I couldn't use their viewer on my home machine since it runs linux.

A few minutes later I got an automatic email reply from them. But it was an "out of office" reply from a *real person's* email address! The link allows you to send a mail to real person, and not some machine, which, I suppose, means it's more likely to be read.

Everyone should use that link to give him lots of "why won't linux work" emails to read on Monday morning!

I found a link to a local abc affiliate with tho old player!!!!!

    ABC.com Full Episode Player

it isn't updated as quickly as the origional but it's better than nothing!
still be sure to ask move networks for linux support
before this local affiliate changes too

you can also post a comment for linux support on the abc.com developers blog here
