having a hard time understanding what is the problem

trying to install xine-lib-1-rc8

The config.log is WAY to big to post here, and I couldnt find anything in it...

Did you try and install a newer gcc version than came with the system? I'm not sure on this, but I think that breaks compilation of just about anything unless you recompile the *entire* system...

I did pretty much try anything....
I re-installed all the newest package that were about GCC
3-4 If not mistaken...
I see on all forum that this problem occures... I cant seem to be able to fix tho

What I'm trying to say is, I think that's what broke it. I'm pretty sure you have to use the same version of gcc that was used to compile your system.

Well... I dont think that could be it (could be mistaken) since I tryed to install this with a fresh install... I even un-install all gcc packages and re-install the CD's one... still no luck
