Connecting to Xbox 360 media center with setup key?

Hi

I have been trying to get my Ubuntu 11.10 PC connected to Xbox 360 media center to no avail and thought I would come on here to see if anyone can help or if it is even possible.

I setup ushare to multicast my media and after a bunch of tweaks finally got my 360 to see my PC but when I try to connect to share media it tells me to enter the setup key into Windows Media player. Since I am unable to do this as a Windows user would, I cannot figure out how to complete the connection. I thought I had heard of people doing this but now I am wondering if it is even possible.

Does anyone know how to either use the setup key on a Ubuntu media player or stream media without using a setup key?

I have been trying to use VLC and edit the network syncing preferences but I'm really not sure if I set it up correctly.
