help on copying VCD in FC-3
1st of all SORRY, as i posted this message on RED-HAT & FEDORA discussion, that was by mistake as i am a NEWBIE to newsgroups
anyway here is my problem:
THIS SMILEY is because i am really very sad as i am not able to watch any of my VCDs.
i have "Fedora Core 3" as my OS. the only problem i have is it does not copy/play any of my VCDs. I have XINE player installed, it plays all the MPG content i have stored onto my HARD-DISK but it does not play any VCD.
I had WINDOWS earlier VCD can be copied like this:
1.) look for AVSEQ01.DAT, then copy it
2.) paste it to desired location (C:, D: etc.) on hard disk. DONE
FC-3 does not even mount VCDs, gives I/O error. BUT IT easily copies VIDEOS from a DATA CD ( i have my HTML files and VIDEOS in MPG format on that DATA CD).
I only want to
1.) COPY THE .DAT CONTENT onto my HARD-DISK.
2.) convert them to.mpg so that i can watch them with XINE, and
3.) BURN them ontp a CD so that it can be played on my VCD player.
can anybody help me on solving this problem?
THANKS in advance
Re: help on copying VCD in FC-3
I use vlc to play DVDs that are on a DVD in my DVD player, and also play DVDs ripped to a directory on my hard drive. I've read it will also do the same for replay of VCDs.
