Media Player for FC2?
I just installed Fedora Ccore 2 and have no way to listen to MP3's and or watch MPEG videos on my OS.
Can someone please recommend something I can install on Fedora?
Does Winamp work on Linux? Is there something that is favored among Linux users that will work with Fedora Core 2?

Check out Xmms. By default, Redhat has removed support for mp3, so you have to download a file that enables it on xmms.org.
While you're at it, check out Mplayer and Xine
Good luck

I was thinking about installing XMMS because I found using the APT-GET tool that is nice and only way I really know how to install stuff yet...
If I install XMMS, will it play both MP3 and MPEG/AVI? or must I have a different program for each type of media I want to open...? :?
I really like how Windows Media Player or WinAmp did both in one easy to use app.

If you install this plugin you can view avi/divx files with xmms. 8)
