RealPlayer with ALSA?

Can someone please describe how to get RealPlayer to playback via ALSA?

I'm trying to get RealPlayer to use the ALSA framework instead of OSS. Is there some way to configure the audio system it uses? I've tried using

to open realplayer and it produces no sound at all.

I'm not sure what other details to provide?

is it working with OSS..? and why you want to make it work with ALSA anyway..?

Yes, it works with OSS. The reason I want to use ALSA though is that I use USB speakers (the onboard speakers on my laptop are dead), which I have configured ALSA to use. Other apps like Mplayer, Amarok, XMMS sound great.

The alternative, and actually even more desireable, is to get OSS to use the USB speakers. I think it's possible, but I don't know how to do it. Is it just the commercial OSS that can do it or will OSS/Free do it too? I've posted about that elsewhere and not had any responses.
