What do you do to run it and what error do you get?
Yes, please do share any errors you're getting. I've found that StarCraft is one of the easiest MS Windows games to get running in Linux, even with free WINE. I'm quite optimistic we can get it running for you.
well actually, i just try to run the windows executable file with cedega, and it just doesnt go! i get no error, nothing pops up at all. is there a way to install it in console or something? also, i installed RCT2 (rollercoaster tycoon 2) but it wont let me run the game. it installed fine, but when i click on the play game button, it gets out of the auto-run screen and does nothing. the only success i have had with cedega is with counter-strike and all other valve-related games from steam.
If you run the programs from the console, the errors will be printed out. Open up a console, cd to your CDROM drive and run cedega Setup.exe on the Starcraft CD. Then post the errors. Do the same for RCT2.Quote:

You might try running the RCT2.exe directly, instead of from the CD. Cedega installs programs in your .transgaming/c_drive directory. There should be a directory under "Program Files" that has the RCT2 exe file in it.Quote:

i am using the command "cedega /mnt/cdrom/Setup.exe. i also tried install.exe, that didnt work either. i seem to be getting a different error message now:

Well that's certainly a new error message for me. It looks like it can't find a series of library files it needs and eventually tanks. It could be a bad Cedega installation. Did you install it from CVS or download the packages?
my cousin gave me 'cedega-4.0.1-1.i386.rpm'. he uploaded to his site and i downloaded that.
