| It looks to me like you don't have a working internet connection ... can you access the internet using links? If you can run links but can't access any sites eg Gentoo Linux -- Gentoo Linux News then you probably need to boot from the live CD again ... you might need to chroot and go through the network setup again. |

| solved,i installed rc-pppoe an now it-s working,thanks but now i have another problem,i just installed X11-xorg an i don't know how to : spouse to look i try it to make the same settings like in live cd sabayon,no results. please help |

| try running - then Code: X -config /root/xorg.conf.new
If all goes well you should see a cross (your mouse) in the middle of the screen.

| Or you could boot up any LiveCD like Knoppix and copy that xorg.conf file to your Gentoo partition. That's how I do it.

| I think you missed out the mkdir /mnt/gentoo and mkdir /mnt/gentoo/boot steps before mounting the partitions. |

| WOW, that's the Sabayon xorg.conf file? It's changed since I last used it.
I did manage to edit your file, to the best of my ability and I think it should work for now, once we get X working we can work on installing the Nvidia driver.
Copy and paste this into your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, lets see if this works.
If it does work it may be slow due to the vesa driver, we'll fix that later.
Keep in mind, this may not work the first time, just be sure to write down any errors that occur. Code: #####File generated by hand.
