Maybe you need to compile or load your net driver. Use "lspci" and post here the output, so we can identify your net card and guess what the correct driver would be.

lan driver installation
Tanks for help. I have driver files for linex in my mother board cd.
how to add lad coard name in lan coard driver list. I need how to compile. mother board name is ASUS P5GC-MX. please help and also how to install samba in my system
