One of the following packages is required to complete your request: - dev-lang/python-2.5.4-r3 (Change USE: +xml) (dependency required by "app-portage/gentoolkit-0.2.4.5" [ebuild]) (dependency required by "world" [argument]) Thanks in advance.

Hello and Welcome.
I believe that you can add xml to your use flags in /etc/make.conf and proceed from there.

Yes that would be the place. Or you could just remove the -xml that's already there.
Anything with a - in front of it will not get pulled in, if you want to use xml just remove the - and you should be good to go.
