Installing Gentoo

I was wondering how you would install Gentoo onto a blank harddrive. Do I need a boot disk or something else

If you have burned the gentoo iso to disk, you should be able to use that if your bios is set to boot from the cdrom drive.

I would make no /boot, just have it at the / partition (as I always do), have a decent / partition, maybe have a seperate /home (thought I call it /personal to make different operative systems have their own /home partitions and not mess up something because they use different versions of stuff, and a small /other partition where you can install other distros so that you won't have to earse gentoo if you ever would want to install an other OS or an other distro.

SO:
/ partition
/personal partition
swap partition
/other partition

The iso's are big for a floppy, ok to big for a floppy.
The minimal installation iso is only 60 MB or so.
And the Universal iso is under 400 MB.
