| rsync problems All the time I have been having issues with rsync on Gentoo (syncing the portage tree) for a while now.
I think this may be caused by Ipcop blocking the port, but I have forwarded and allowed external access to the rsync port, and it doesn't make a difference.
It buggers up just after it deletes the old ebuilds. This is the error message I got: Code: deleting x11-wm/windowmaker/files/digest-windowmaker-0.80.2-r2
rsync: writefd_unbuffered failed to write 4 bytes [generator]: Broken pipe (32)
rsync error: received SIGUSR1 (code 19) at main.c(1095) [receiver=2.6.8]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(1121) [generator=2.6.8]
>>> Retrying...
And it will do that forever.
Is ipcop to blame, or is this an issue with Gentoo itself?
Thanks,
weed
