GRUB to dual boot XP and Gentoo
So, I have the HP Pavillion dv9428nr w/ 240 GB (5400 RPM) Dual SATA HDDs (120 GB x 2).
Partition Magic shows the following:
Disk 1: 114470mb
Windows XP & MBR
Disk 2: 114470mb
I want to put linux here
What should the grub.conf file look like? I know that my partition table refers to each HDD as sda and sdb, and each partition of each drive like sda0, or sdb2.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Where did you install GRUB? In MBR of Windows Disk or Gentoo Disk?
First of all leave Windows Disk at it is and Add code for Gentoo in grub.conf file. Install GRUB and boot up Gentoo. Execute fdisk -l command. Post output here.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
