gentoo sabayon wireless net setup but still no internet
ive set up the wireless card and i can connect to the site,
ive set up the proxy settings in two files (proxy.sh and proxy.csh in profile.d) and in firefox and konquors gui
ive got a ip address.
so why cant i connect to the internet?
also its an authenticated connection.

yep i did net-setup
im using the rt2500 driver from serial monkey
i have a ralink 2500

authentication
the authentication is a http username and password
sites i can connect to is zero.
so the proxy settings ive set up in profile.d are set like this
export HTTP_PROXY=username
assword@proxy:3128
ftp ect
and i did the prxy settings in both konquor and firefox. no change i just get cant find proxy server

been there done that, sorry the latest thing ive done to try and help is
setup a file called 99local with the http proxy.
what do you think of this?
localhost etc # dmesg | grep ra0
[ 31.955788] Device driver ra0 lacks bus and class support for being resumed.
also i did
echo $http_proxy and got back my proxy and it was correct

If you have gone through all of that, I am not sure how to help you.
Hopefully someone else who has experience with proxies will see this thread and be able to help more.How to know if you are a geek.
